Descrizione del Progetto e Obiettivi
NANOPRO is a project aimed at rising innovative activities in the Piemonte region in the field of production of prostheses for othopaedy and dentistry, to pursuit the demand of preserving patients from biocompatibility, bioactivity and biomechanical stability point of view, increasing functionality, maintainability and life-cycle of the medical device implanted.
The NANOPRO project is devoted to the innovation in the field of implants for dentistry and orthopaedic, by using nanostructured ceramics, that are expected to exhibit better functional performances with respect to present materials, because of unique combination of structural, mechanical, wear features as well as a more effective interfacial beahaviour towards host tissues; moreover, improvements on the aesthetics side by using ceramics are a high added value for dentistry.
